Dried figs are very rich in minerals, vitamins and fibre. They contain pectin, flavonoide, calcium, magnesium and iron as well as zinc and selenium. If a white coating appears on the surface of dried figs, this is due to the naturally crystallisation of fructose.

Utilisation
Dried figs are mainly consumed raw. For example, they are filled with cream cheese or used in the production of jams, mustard, wine and fig bread. Dried figs are also excellently suited for bakery goods, muesli, granola bars, salads, antipasti, cheese, pastry filling and oriental dishes.
