Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) are, along with button mushrooms and Shiitake mushrooms, among the most popular edible mushrooms worldwide. They are cultivated in many countries and are available fresh in food retail shops all year round. We import these mushrooms as deep-frozen from China for industrial processing.
