Ginger (zingiber officinale) is a cultivated perennial, herbaceous plant whose main yellow, underground sprout is used as a spice in the kitchen.

Origin

It is mainly grown in Asia for industrial use primarily in China and India.

Harvest

China: September to November

Production

The roots are cleaned, peeled, and cut to the desired specifications. The peeled roots are then processed into a puree and frozen as portions / pellets or chopped into pieces and frozen individually (IQF - Individual Quick Freezing).

Information

We offer chopped ginger and ginger puree as pellets.

Uses

Ginger is great for soups, sauces, chutneys, and ready-made meals.
